Quick, Before It Melts.

My email inbox is extremely full right now, and although I started clearing it out about five minutes ago, the rest of the messages are going to have to wait because this is just too important to pass by right now:



Patrick of the three members of the band, sent me a brief little email today with a couple mp3s attached, and this is what he had to say: "We're only 17, but we're not an angsty, whiny teenage band... at least we hope we're not... " No, Patrick, you're not any of those things. What you are is a talented young band that's reminding me of early Belle & Sebastian, The Changes (remember them from a few years back?), and all the reasons not to lose faith in the youth of America. The strings on "Person Place or Thing" are inspired, and "Hemingway" is a rocker that wouldn't have sounded all that out of place on the last British Sea Power album.

These kids from Connecticut are definitely alright! I can't wait to hear more from them as they mature and grow into their talent even more.
