Q: Do you like rock music? A: F@&kin' yeah!
It has been a looong time since I felt this strongly about an album, but folks, mark my words, British Sea Power's Do You Like Rock Music? will end up as one of the musical highlights of 2008. The album is officially released in February, but first single "Waving Flags" had it's UK release yesterday. It is full of wide-screen epic vocal washes à la Arcade Fire, but still retains that undeniable, organic quality that marks British Sea Power's music. From start to finish, there is not a wasted note on the entire album.
The first great rock album of 2008 is upon us, and staging an all-out sonic assault. Resistance is futile.
