One of my favourite songs of 2007 didn't actually get released in 2007--actually, it's not even officially released in 2008... yet. Eagle Seagull are a Nebraskan indie-rock powerhouse that garnered rave reviews for their 2006 debut album Eagle*Seagull (some blogs call the band "Eagle*Seagull" but their official sites go asterisk-less). Sometime last summer the band unveiled a preview of their sophomore release on their Myspace page, a release scheduled to come out almost half a year later, "early in 2008."Well, it's early 2008 now, and although there's been no word from the Eagle Seagull camp, I just couldn't wait anymore. "I'm Sorry But I'm Beginning To Hate Your Face" should have been one of my favourite songs of 2007, and should have been included on my Summer Burn mix. Why wasn't it? That's a long, pathetic story about respecting copyright and exclusivity rights, so let's rectify that situation now, shall we?
