The Octopus Project just might be the coolest band on the planet right now, and not just because they've named their new album Hello, Avalanche. No, their chill factor comes from the fact that no one has ever made a Theremin sound so sexy and so ecstatic. Their instrumental creations whizz through the air with multi-coloured streamers hanging at the tail; they will wrap themselves around you just as easily as they become entangled in each others wake; they'll coil and constrict you, leaving you laughing and jubilant as they knock you off your feet and leave you dizzy and breathless. No, really.
