Doggie democracies

There's not an awful lot I can tell you about Pet Politics beyond that Magnus Larsson of Gothenburg, Sweden is the self-appointed leader of this pop party. He's released a limited edition 7" EP called The Spring on indie label The Great Pop Supplement (I wonder how they fit that on their letterhead?). I tell you, the Swedes are doing something right, becuase they're making some of the most beautiful pop music on the planet right now. Pet Politics takes a different position, embedding wry humour and and wit in a lo-fi indie quitar track that sounds gorgeously homemade. Like a sad-eyed puppy with one paw against the kennel door, you can't help but want to take Pet Politics home, give it a warm bed and bone to chew on and cuddle in front of a winter fireplace. Even better, you'll never have to stoop to scoop poop.
