A while back, I started hearing rumblings (pun absolutely intentional) in the UK music press about a new band making ripples in the airwaves: The Rumble Strips. First thought: crap name; second thought: never judge a book by its cover, or more fittingly, never judge a band by their moniker.
Sometimes you shouldn't go with your gut feeling. As it turns out, I love The Rumble Strips slap-dash, loose-limbed pop-rock. I haven't been able to pin down an accurate comparison, because anytime I try to make a connection, I'm only focusing on one aspect of the band's sound. I think they're a treat, regardless, and know that you'll get a kick out of them, too.
