Quick, Before It Melts.

Marc Morrisette is a Vancouver native, former member of Kids These Days, and currently the man behind the moniker Octoberman. After a soul searching journey across Europe and Asia which led to 2005's These Trails Are Old and New, he returns with a new collection of songs, Run From Safety on August 21 via White Whale Records.

It wouldn't be fair to just lump Octoberman together with other singer-songwriter releases, because he seems to bring another dimension to his musings. Maybe it's the inspiration from his travels, or his desire to move away from the safety of convention and familiarity; whatever it is, you get the distinct feeling that Marc Morrissette isn't simply content to comment on life's passing--he wants to get out there and experience it first hand.
