Quick, Before It Melts.

I'm a sucker for a great pop song, especially one that has a lush orchestration and seems to come at you from all angles. Southerly is a one-man music making operation spear-headed by Krist Kreuger. Southerly's sophomore release, Storyteller & The Gossip Columnist, features Kreuger and his band giving each song the full-on treatment. Often compared to The National, The Weakerthans and Richard Ashcroft (it's a bit of a stretch but I can see it), Southerly should definitely find a home in the collection of music lovers who like a little lushness in their life.
